Just came back from OBS(: it was really fun! i'm starting to miss it already): my WATCH(group) was made up of sacians and st.gabriel's sec boys and our WATCH was called "BATTUTA"(: we call ourselves the BATTURIANS.hahahaha. the guys were really helpful and nice:D without them, the camp would not have been so good:D and our instructor CLAYTON was nice and funny too! his joke's are so lame.HAHAHHA. this camp and all the activities were a great experience for me. like what clayton said: " i can bring you to the gate, but you choose how far you want to go." DAY 1 assembled in school then the bus sent us to punggol jetty to take the boat to the base camp with the rest of the schools that were there. this day, we only learnt the basics like how to pitch the tent, tie different kind of knots and how to cook using solid fuel tablets. it was quite sian cause we didn't bond with the group and didn't really talk to the guys. DAY 2 did abseiling at our base camp. kind of scary at first but it was actually not scary when you're half way down(: after abseiling was lunch then we kayaked over to some small place to camp overnight to prepare for our sea expedition and it was just a small plot of land near the sea so we did not get to bathe. it was raining after we reached so we all had to take shelter under ponchos for quite some time then the rain was over and we started cooking dinner and helped to pitch the tents. DAY 3 had our sea expedition. kayaked for 8 hours in the mangrove and also the sea which was quite close to msia, which made me really tan and had a sunburn on my neck): being one of the sea expedition leader with joey was fun. we were the sweepers(: so we kept asking people to catch up with the rest. hahahaha. talked crap while kayaking.HAHAHA. joey is the captain of badminton in his sch too! hahaha. it rained 2 times during the journey but we still had to carry on kayaking. had sea sick at the last quarter of the journey as there were waves so the kayak kept shaking. so joey was nice and let me sleep while he kayaked most of the remaining journey:D after reaching the next campsite,wnent to bathe while the guys helped us pitch the tents then had dinner which was prepared for us by the cooks there so we didn't have to cook our own dinner. hahahaha. after dinner was discussion time. i was really sleepy by then so i started falling asleep but instructor clayton caught me sleeping-.- then came supper. but i was too tired to eat so i took a nap. afterthat the other told us some ghost story wich really scared me ALOT until my tears flowed out. HAHAHAHA.so dumb. afterthat was bed time. DAY 4 had our land expedition which was really tiring. our bagpacks weighed like alot more than 10kg! started off at our campsite first. my face was a little burnt cause of kayaking so due to that, i put some powder on my face which made me look white so from then on, terrence kept making fun of me. it was damn funny.HAAHAHAHA. had difficulty carrying my bagpack due to the sunburn on my neck. so jason was nice and told me to drop my bagpack and he asked someone to help me carry it. hahahahha. it rained awhile later so we had to take shelter under some small hut shelter there. it was really cold so we started boiling water and made hot drinks(: the shelter made us bond really well. after the rain, we made some deal with instructor clayton cause we won the scissors, paper, stone game against him so we only needed to go to the nearest checkpoint then we could trek back to base camp(: this was also the last night the whole grouphad dinner together. it was really fun. we cooked almost everything we left. so we kind of had a feast(: and instructor pei lee from the other group was so nice she made us apple crumble:D after dinner, our group cleaned most of the stuffs in our store room. after that was bedtime(: DAY 5 had our usual morning discussion time and breakfast then continued clearing up the store room. after the long long time spent on cleaning, we had our final reflection and debrief ten went off to the souvenier shop to buy shirts. afterthat, the bus fetched sac to sch then we were dismissed(:
